Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Do I need a Doctors referral to have physiotherapy?

A referral from a Doctor is not necessary unless you have a workers compensation or 3rd party claim. If you have seen a sports Doctor or specialist a referral may be helpful.

Q2. How much in advance do I need to book an appointment?

We endeavour to see you on the day you call or within 24 hours.

Q3. How long is a treatment session?

We book appointments at half hour intervals, but expect to be here for 45 minutes. You may require some massage or heat/ice, electrotherapy after your 1 on 1 treatment with the Physiotherapist.

Q4. Will I get some of the cost back from my health fund?

Yes, if you are covered for physiotherapy, we have a HICAPS machine so bring your health fund card with you and you only need to pay the gap.

Q5. How many treatments will I need?

That depends on your condition. Your Physiotherapist will discuss your treatment, goals and prognosis with you so you can plan this together.
